Mikaela Andersson heter jag, 20 år. Jag är florist och min sista praktik på utbildningen gjorde jag på Floristkompaniet i Stockholm, som ägs av Johan Pettersson. Några månader efter studenten ringde Johan och frågade om jag ville hjälpa honom med att göra blomsteruppsättningar till Interfloras 90-års jubileum som skulle äga rum på Berns i januari. Svaret blev så klart ja!

Oväntade och lyxiga dekorationer prydde borden i matsalen. Vi borrade massa hål i brädor och satte sedan i bonzaitråd - ett evighetsjobb. Två dagar tog det att tillverka dem, därefter träddes cymbidiumorkidéer på bonzaitråden. Det blev en mäktig känsla att se alla bord färdig dekorerade!

När gästerna steg in i salongen möttes de av en guldram dekorerades med både det ena och det andra. Hemtrevnad hade fästes på oasis och siffrorna gjordes av rosor, tulpaner, cymbidiumklockor och hyacinter. Ett pilligt jobb men det uppskattades!

Behöver jag säga något mer än att påfågeln är helt fantastisk? Röda blad fästes på stomme gjort av hönsnät. Grenar, blommor och fjädrar fästes på konstruktionen med hjälp av buntband. Påfågeln var scendekorationen och stod först på scenen  utan sina stjärtfjädrar. Efter några minuter höjdes volymen och in kom 7 personer som bar på varsin konstruktion som de sedan fäste på fågeln. Mäktig känsla att se påfågeln bli så stor och fin!

Tre dagar fyllt av jobb och slit. Dagarna blev långa men fram förallt roliga. Ett minne för livet!

My name is Mikaela Andersson, 20 years. I'm a florist and I did my last internship during college at  Floristkompaniet in Stockholm, owned by Johan Pettersson. A few months after the graduation John calledand asked if I would like to help him to make floral decorations for Interflora's 90th anniversary to be held in January. The answer was of course yes!

Unexpected and luxurious decorations along the tables in the dining room. We drilled holes in pieces of wood and then pu wires in the holes -  it took ages. It took twodays to make them, then we attached cymbidium ochids to the wites. It was a such great feeling to see all the tables ready!

When guests arrived they wre welcomed by a big golden frame decorated filled with flowers.Peace-in-the-home were attached to foam and the numbers 90 were made of roses, tulips, cymbidium ochids and hyacinths. A delicate job but it was very appreciated!

For the stage we made a huge peacock.It was stunning! Red leaves were attached to the a body made ​​of chicken wire. Branches, flowers and feathers were used to create the tail feathers. At first the peacock was 2naked" on the scene, without its' feathers. After a few minutes music started and in came seven people, each of them carrying a huge construction. Then they attached the constructions to the bird. It was a lovely feeling to see the peacock become complete!

It was three long days full of  hard work, flowers and fun. A memory for life!
